5.The Block Development Officer, Thirumanur Panchayath Union, Thirumanur, Ariyalur District. ..Respondents Prayer:- The Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, seeking for a Writ of Mandamus to direct the 5th respondent herein to construct sewerage channel in petitioner's locality namely K.Mettutheru, Kandirathitam Post, Ariyalur District, by considering the petitioner's representation dated 13.02.2018.

ORDER
Mr.N.Inbanathan, learned Additional Government Pleader takes notice for the respondents 1 to 4 and Mr.S.N.Parthasarathy, learned Government Advocate takes notice for the 5th respondent. By consent of the learned counsel appearing for the parties, the writ petition is taken up for hearing.
2. The prayer in this writ petition is for issuance of a writ of mandamus to direct the 5th respondent herein to construct sewerage channel, by considering his representation dated 13.02.2018.
3. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner is a permanent resident of Kandirathitam in Ariyalur District. Eventhough there was a proposal to construct a sewerage channel in the year 2008, but it was not completed and now sewerage water is being let out in the open space, which causes health hazard to the general public.
4. The learned counsel further submitted that the second respondent is the Inspector of Panchayat and he may be directed to consider the representation of the petitioner.
5. The learned Additional Government Pleader would submit that the second respondent is ready to consider the grievance of the petitioner.
6. In the light of the above submissions of the learned counsels and also considering the nature of prayer sought for in the writ petition, this Court, without going into the merits of the case, directs the second respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner, dated 13.02.2018 and take appropriate action on merits and in accordance with law, after providing an opportunity of hearing to the necessary parties, as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of three months.
7. With the above direction, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
