ORDER

(This case has been heard through video conference) This petition has been filed seeking a direction directing the respondents to provide police protection to the petitioner life to live peacefully.

2. The contention of petitioner is that the petitioner lodged the complaint before the 2nd respondent police on 18.09.2021, but no action taken. Thereafter, he sent representation to the 1st respondent on 21.09.2021, even then, no action taken. Hence, he filed this petition seeking direction to the respondents police to provide protection for his life.

3. The learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) appearing for respondent would submit that the respondents police were not received any complaint or representation as stated by the petitioner. If the petitioner furnishes copy of complaint, action would be taken.

4. Heard the submissions of learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) appearing on behalf of the respondents.

5. In view of the same, this Court directs the petitioner to approach the 2nd respondent Sub-Inspector of Police, Tittakudi Police Station and lodge the copy of complaint, then the 2nd respondent police would take appropriate action.

6. With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of accordingly.
