ORDER

[Made by P.N.PRAKASH, J.] This habeas corpus petition has been filed seeking to direct the 2nd respondent to produce the body of the detenue Leslie Rani, aged about 36 years and two male children viz., V.Robert Savior, aged about 14 years and V.Rudees Moses, aged about 13 years, before this Court and set them at liberty.

It is the case of the petitioner that he got married to Leslie Rani and has two male children viz., Robert Savior, aged about 14 years and Rudees Moses, aged about 13 years and they went missing from 04.03.2020 and thereafter, their whereabouts are not known. It is the grievance of the petitioner that despite complaint, no effective steps have been taken by the police to secure them.

Today, Mr.N.Chandrasekar (Mobile No.98406 12094), SubInspector of Police, T-11, Thirunindravur Police Station, is present.

On instructions, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that on a complaint given by the petitioner, a case in Thirunindravur Police Station Crime No.102 of 2020 for 'woman and boys missing' was registered on 09.03.2020 and investigation is in progress.

Recording the same, this habeas corpus petition stands closed with a direction to the Deputy Superintendent of Police, Pattabiram, to supervise the investigation in Thirunindravur Police Station Crime No.102 of 2020 and keep the petitioner informed of the developments, if any. As and when Leslie Rani, aged about 36 years, Robert Savior, aged about 14 years and Rudees Moses, aged about 13 years, are secured, they shall be produced before the Judicial Magistrate Court No.II, Thiruvallur, under intimation to the petitioner. On such production, the learned Magistrate shall pass appropriate orders with regard to custody in accordance with law.
