The instant writ petition has been filed with a prayer for issuing a Mandamus to direct the respondent to pay interest @ 10% for the belated payment of gratuity, P.F and leave salary to the petitioner.

It is the contention of the learned counsel for the petitioner that the petitioner had retired from the services of the respondent on 30.06.2023 as Traffic Inspector, and made a representation dated 07.05.2025 to the respondent seeking interest for the belated payment of the terminal benefits such as such as gratuity, P.F and leave salary, there was no response for the same.

3. At this juncture, the learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondent would fairly submit that they would consider the said representation of the petitioner within a reasonable time.

4. Heard the learned counsel for both sides and perused the materials available on record.

5. In view of the said fair submission made by the learned Standing Counsel, without going to the merits of this Writ Petition, this Court deems it appropriate to direct the respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 07.05.2025, and pass orders on its own merits and in accordance with law, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6. In the result, this Writ Petition is disposed of with the above observations. No costs.
