The instant writ petition has been filed with a prayer for issuing a Mandamus to direct the respondents to pay interest @ 10% for the belated payment of gratuity, P.F, leave salary and commutation of pension amount to the petitioner.

2. It is the contention of the learned counsel for the petitioner that the petitioner had retired from the services of the first respondent on 30.06.2023 as Senior Assistant Engineer, and made a representation dated 08.05.2025 to the respondents seeking interest for the belated payment of the terminal benefits such as such as gratuity, P.F, leave salary and commutation of pension amount, there was no response for the same.

3. At this juncture, the learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondents would fairly submit that they would consider the said representation of the petitioner within a reasonable time. 2/5

4. Heard the learned counsel for both sides and perused the materials available on record.

5. In view of the said fair submission made by the learned Standing Counsel, without going to the merits of this Writ Petition, this Court deems it appropriate to direct the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 08.05.2025, and pass orders on its own merits and in accordance with law, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6. In the result, this Writ Petition is disposed of with the above observations. No costs.
