ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed seeking a direction to call for the records of the 2 nd respondent vide proceedings dated 25.05.2025 in Rc. No.CPPU1/1453 / 2025 -G1 and quash the same.

2. Heard Mr.K.Selvakumar, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.R.Sasikumar, learned Government Advocate for the respondents.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner was posted as Grade I Warden, Central Prison-1, Puzhal from 2017-2024. However, by way of the impugned order, the petitioner has been transferred to

Palayamkottai. It is the submission of the petitioner that his second son [aged about 4 years] has got a medical condition. Therefore, his presence at Chennai would be of immense help to take care of his son.

4. At this juncture, the learned Government Advocate would submit that this is only an administrative transfer, and that unless there is a bias or vindictiveness or mala fide on the part of the Authority concerned, such transfer cannot be challenged.

5. This Court is in full agreement with the submissions made by the learned Government Advocate. Hence, this Court does not find any merits in this writ petition. However, taking into consideration of fact that the petitioner's son has got some medical conditions, this Court, without going into the merits of the matter, deems it appropriate to direct the first respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 31.05.2025 and pass orders on it's own merits and in accordance with law, within a period of three(3) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6. In the result, this writ petition stands disposed of with the above directions. There shall be no order as to costs. Consequently, connected WMPs are also closed.
