By consent of learned counsel on both sides, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.
2. This Writ Petition has been filed for issuance of Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to mutate the revenue records in respect of S.Nos.134/1 and 134/2 Kannadi Village, Kurinjipadi Taluk, Cuddalore District, correctly as burial ground and pond respectively and consequently restraining the respondents not to convert the use of land in S.No.134/1.
3. After submitting for a brief while, to a pointed question as to whether the writ of mandamus in the present form can be maintained or a Public Interest Litigation is to be filed, the learned counsel for the petitioner sought liberty of this court to file a Public Interest Litigation.
4. Recording the submission of the learned counsel for the petitioner, this writ Petition stands closed. No costs. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petition is also closed.
