This writ petition has been filed seeking issuance of a writ of mandamus directing the second respondent to conduct enquiry and pass orders in O.A.No.7 of 2011 filed under Section 64(1) of the Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowment Act, 1959, for settlement of a scheme for Arulmigu Sakthi Mariamman Temple.
2. Heard Mr.M.Subash, learned counsel for petitioner and Mr.S.Ravichandran, learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for respondents.
3. Taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the case and considering the fact that the application has been pending for a very long time, there shall be a direction to the second respondent to deal with the pending application in O.A.No.7 of 2011 on its own merits and in accordance with law and pass final orders within a period of eight (8) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. This writ petition is disposed of with the above direction. No 2/4
costs.
