Crl.O.P No.20146 of2019 Crl.OP.No.20146 of 2019 N.ANAND VENKATESH, J The learned counsel for the petitioner has brought to the notice of this Court that in the order in Crl.O.P.No.20146 of 2019 dated 30.07.2019, in paragraph No.2, the Court was wrongly mentioned as the learned Chief Judicial Magistrate, Puducherry instead of learned Special Judge for SC and ST Act, Puducherry. Hence, the case is posted today under the caption "for being mentioned".
2. Accepting the submissions of the learned counsel for the petitioner, paragraph No.2 of the order dated 30.07.2019, in Crl.O.P.No.20146 of 2019 shall be replaced as follows:
"3.In view of the amendments made in the Scheduled Castes and the Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act, 1989, this Court is of the view that the usual directions that were issued by this Court cannot be issued routinely in all cases. Therefore, the petitioners are directed to surrender before the trial Court within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and on such surrender, the learned Special Judge for SC and ST Act, Puducherry, shall deal with the matter on the same day on merits and in accordance with law, after issuing notice to the victims under Section 15 (A) of the SC/ST Act. 14.08.2019 ub Note: Registry is directed to issue a fresh order copy after making necessary corrections on 16.08.2019.
