This matter is placed before this Court today on the basis of the letter dated 06.01.2026 received from the learned II Judicial Magistrate, Egmore, Chennai through the learned Chief Judicial Magistrate, Egmore, Chennai and also the letter of the learned Chief Metropolitan Magistrate/Chief Judicial Magistrate, Egmore, Chennai dated 09.01.2026, seeking extension of time for disposal of the cases in C.C.No.8069 of 2022 and C.C.No.316 of 2024, by a period of two months.

2. Considering the reasons stated in the letter, this Court is of the view that it is appropriate to accept the request made by the learned II Judicial Magistrate, Egmore, Chennai.
