O R D E R

The petitioner herein has filed this petition to seek protection for conducting Aravaan festival in the village.

2. Learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondents states that since two groups are at loggerheads, police apprehends that there may be law and order issue. Hence, the matter is referred to the Executive Magistrate under Section 107 of Cr.P.C., The learned Executive Magistrate is yet to commence the proceedings.

3. This court is of the view that the temple festival which has been conducted annually for many years should not stop because of few persons who are in disagreement with each other. Therefore, police shall ensure that the festival is conducted peacefully and if any person disturbs conduct of the festival, he has to be prevented and necessary action must be taken against him.

4. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
