..Respondents Prayer : Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of Writ of Certiorari directing the 1st respondent herein to cancel the PAN Cards bearing Numbers BOQPR7409F and CEGPM1448L issued in the name of the 1st and 2nd petitioners respectively, based on the representation dated 21.03.2026.

ORDER
Alleging that the son of the petitioners has applied for and obtained the PAN card bearing No. BOQPR7409F in the name of the first petitioner and PAN card bearing No.CEGPM1448L in the name of the second petitioner, the petitioners have approached this Court for cancellation thereof.
2. Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that the second petitioner is illiterate and has affixed her thumb impression on the affidavit. He, however, submits that the PAN card bears her signature.
3. Dr. C.P. Priya, learned Senior Standing Counsel, accepts notice for the first respondent.
4. The petitioners have raised factual disputes pertaining to their son and to the creation of allegedly fabricated documents by their son. These aspects should be carried to the jurisdictional civil court for adjudication. As regards the issuance of PANs, the first respondent may examine whether the petitioners herein had applied for and obtained PANs or whether such applications were lodged by their son or some other individual on their behalf. This exercise shall be completed within four months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
5. With the above observations, this writ petition stands disposed of without any order as to costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
