This Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking a direction, to direct the first respondent-Police to file a final report in Crime No.265 of 2024.

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the first respondent-Police and perused the materials available on record.

3. Since no adverse order is being passed as against the second respondent, notice to the second respondent is dispensed with.

4. On a perusal of the records, it is seen that though F.I.R No.265 of 2024 has been registered on 15.06.2024 against the accused for the offences under Sections 447, 427, 353, 294(b) 506(i) and 379 of the IPC, till date, the respondent-Police has neither completed the investigation and nor filed a final report. Hence, the petitioner is constrained to file this criminal original petition.

5. Considering the submissions made by the learned counsel on either side and also considering the facts and circumstances of the case, this Court directs the respondent-Police to expedite the investigation and file a final report within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6. With the abovesaid direction, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
