Prayer: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the first respondent herein to pass orders on the petitioner's representation petition dated 24.01.2020 regarding settlement of the period of suspension from 21.12.1994 to 12.10.1997 as duty for all purposes as per Ruling-9 of Fundamental Rule 54 within a time frame as deem fit and proper by this Hon'ble Court or issue any other appropriate Writ, Order, Direction in the nature of a Writ or another appropriate relief.

ORDER

The petitioner was imposed with the punishment order dated 21.08.2009, pursuant to which an order came to be passed by the 2nd respondent on 13.06.2019. The petitioner has sent a representation dated 24.01.2020 to re-consider the decision of the 1st respondent. The representation of the petitioner has not evoked any response from the 1st respondent.

2.Considering the same, this writ petition is disposed by directing the respondents to dispose the representation dated 24.01.2020 of the petitioner on merits within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs.
