COMMON ORDER Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioners and Mr.R.Rajeswaran, learned Special Government Pleader appearing on behalf of the respondents 2 to 4.

2. The writ petitioners seek for a Writ of Mandamus to the 4th respondent to provide the mark lists of the writ petitioners for having appeared in the 10th Standard examination conducted in the year 2012.

3. It is not in dispute that the petitioner has failed in the examination and the statement of marks scored by him has been produced before this court. It is seen that the communication has been addressed by the 4th respondent to the Assistant Elementary Education Officer, Perumanallur to verify and submit a report regarding the genuineness of the education institution through which the petitioners have appeared for SSLC Examination.

4. The perusal of the materials would show that the details of the verification made by the Assistant Elementary Education Officer is not available. Now the petitioners seek issuance of 10th Standard Mark list from the first respondent.

5. Therefore, a direction is issued to the 4th respondent to issue a certificate for having appeared in the 10th Standard and the Mark list after verifying the required information from the authority concerned and such direction shall be completed within eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

With the above directions, the writ petitions are disposed of. No costs.
