Respondents Prayer: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the 7th respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 12.6.2021 seeking action as against the 12th respondent herein who is running the school without getting recognition from the Government but with an intention to make money and spoiling the dreams of the innocent parents as well as the future of the 800 students and to prevent the school from running without recognition and to transfer the students to some other Government recognition school or Government school and take appropriate action in a time frame fixed by this court. ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by The Hon'ble Chief Justice) The grievance of the petitioner is that a private educational facility is being run by the 12th respondent as a school without obtaining any permission or sanction therefor.

2. Mr.P.Muthukumar, learned State Government Pleader, submits that upon discovering the matter, the respondent authorities have taken immediate appropriate steps, including advising the parents of the students to get the students admitted to nearby schools. It is also submitted on behalf of

the State that the Chief Education Officer, who is not a party to the present proceedings, would be the appropriate authority to look into the matter.

3. Since the State has been impleaded and is represented, learned State Government Pleader is requested to immediately inform the relevant Chief Education Officer to look into the matter and take immediate appropriate steps in accordance with law. The Chief Education Officer should communicate the measures taken in pursuance of this order to the petitioner within a period of ten weeks from date.

WP No.21487 of 2021 is disposed of. There will be no order as to costs.
