ORDER

The petitioner apprehends arrest for the alleged offence under Sections 3(2)(a), 3(2)(b), 6(1)(a), 7(1)(a) and 4(1) of Immoral Traffic (Prevention) Act, 1956 in Crime No.151 of 2026, on the file of the respondent police seeks anticipatory bail.

The allegation against the petitioner is that the petitioner was involved in running a brothel house and on information, the respondent party went to the premises, however all the persons who stayed there in the premises were ran away and on inspection of rooms, certain cell phones were recovered, based on which FIR was registered.

3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner is an innocent and has been falsely implicated in this case and has not committed any offence as alleged by the prosecution. He further submitted that the petitioner is ready to abide by any conditions that may be imposed by this Court and sought anticipatory bail for the petitioner.

4. The learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) appearing for the respondent, reiterated the prosecution case and submitted that the cell phone of the lodge manager had been recovered, and several pornographic videos were found on it. He further submitted that, if the petitioner is enlarged on anticipatory bail, he may abscond and commit similar offences in the future. Hence, he vehemently opposed the grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

5. Taking into consideration the totality of the circumstances, as well as the past character and conduct of the petitioner, this Court is of the firm view that the petitioner does not deserve anticipatory bail.

6. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed. 05-06-2026 GBI To 1.The Inspector of Police Sholinghur Police Station, Ranipet District.
