The petitioner has filed this writ petition seeking issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to forthwith pay monetary benefits in the post of Assistant, Deputy Thasildar, Thasildar and Deputy Collector on par with his juniors and 1/4

consequently enhance the retirement benefits of the petitioner including monthly pension.

2.Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents. 3.The case of the petitioner is that he was appointed as Jeep Driver on 26.08.1986 and after acquiring several promotions attained superannuation as Assistant Commissioner (Excise) in the cadre of Deputy Collector on 30.04.2017. According to the petitioner, he is entitled to get monetary benefits in the post of Assistant, Deputy Thasildar, Thasildar and Deputy Collector on par with his juniors. Since such benefits were not given to him he preferred representation dated 03.06.2019 to the respondents, however, till date the same has not been considered. Hence, this writ petition.

4.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that without going into the merits of the case, it would suffice, if this Court issues direction to the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 03.06.2019 and to pass appropriate orders.

5.Considering the limited request made by the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, I am inclined to issue direction to the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 03.06.2019, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
