ORDER

The petitioner, who was arrested and remanded to judicial custody on 17.05.2026 for the alleged offences under Sections 4(1-A)(ii) and 4(1)(A) of Tamil Nadu Prohibition Act, 2024 in Cr. No.113 of 2026 on the file of the respondent police, seeks bail.

2. The case of the prosecution is that the accused were found with possession of 180 ml New Director's Club of 1404 bottles and hence the case.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner is an innocent and he has nothing to do with the commission of offences as alleged by the prosecution. The learned counsel would further submit that the petitioner has been remanded to judicial custody on 17.05.2026 and hence prayed to enlarge the petitioner on bail.

4. The learned Government Advocate (Criminal side) appearing for the respondent police would submit that the petitioner has been detained under 'Goondas' Act vide order of the District Collector and District Magistrate, Tiruvarur in C.O.C. No.12/2026 dated 09.06.2026 and therefore, he objected the bail application.

5. Recording the same, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed. 10-06-2026 MJS
