O R D E R

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to direct the 2nd respondent to register the petitioner's complaint dated 04.04.2018 and proceed with the investigation in accordance with law and file a final report.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner; learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents and perused the materials placed on record.

3. The grievance of the petitioner is that he has given a complaint dated 04.04.2018 to the respondents through post. But, the said complaint has not been enquired by the respondent police till date. Hence, he approached this Court by way of filing this petition.

4. A perusal of the typed set of papers filed along with this petition shows that the complaint has been sent through post. However, no action has been taken by the respondents till https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

date. Under such circumstances, this Court is of the view that they cannot keep the petition pending without making proper investigation. They should either register the complaint or close the same on proper enquiry as per law. Therefore, the respondent police is directed to enquire the compliant of the petitioner dated 04.04.2018 as to whether any cognizable offence is made out and to take appropriate action in accordance with law.

5. With the above observation and direction, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
