ORDER

[Order of the Court was made by V.SIVAGNANAM, J.] This habeas corpus petition has been filed seeking to direct the second respondent to produce before this Court the body and person of the detenu the petitioner's father Ganesan, S/o.Munuswamy, aged about 65 years and set him at liberty. 2.

It is the case of the petitioner that her father Ganesan, aged about 65 years, went missing from 15.09.2020 and that the police are not taking effective steps to secure him. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

On instructions, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that on a complaint given by the petitioner, a case in Thirukazhukundram Police Station Crime No.954 of 2020 for 'man missing' was registered on 14.10.2020 and investigation is in progress.

Recording the same, this habeas corpus petition is closed with a direction to the Deputy Superintendent of Police, Mamallapuram, to monitor the investigation in Thirukazhukundram Police Station Crime No.954 of 2020 and keep the petitioner informed of the developments, if any. As and when Ganesan (detenu) is secured, he shall be produced before the Judicial Magistrate, Thirukazhukundram, under intimation to the petitioner.
