Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, pleased to issue a Writ of Mandamus, direct the respondents 1 to 3 to consider the petitioner's representation dated 22.05.2023, consequently direct the third respondent to file a final report as "MISTAKE OF FACTS" under order 588(a) of Tamil Nadu Police standing order and rules-2010 based on statement recorded under Section 161 of Criminal Procedure Code - 1973, from the fourth respondent in Crime No.2/2023 pending on his file.

ORDER

This writ petition has been filed seeking for issuance of a writ of mandamus directing the respondents 1 to 3 to consider the petitioner's representation dated 22.05.2023 and consequently direct the third respondent to file a final report as "MISTAKE OF FACT" under order 588(a) of Tamil Nadu Police standing order and rules-2010 based on statement recorded under Section 161 of Criminal Procedure Code - 1973, from the fourth respondent in Crime No.2/2023 pending on his file.

2. Learned Additional Public Prosecutor, on instructions, submitted that investigation has been completed and it is now pending for opinion with the Public Prosecutor.

3. In view of the above, there shall be a direction to the third respondent to file a final report or a closure report as the case may be within a period of four (4) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

This Writ Petition is disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
