This petition has been filed to direct the 2nd respondent to register the petitioner's complaint dated 26.04.2018 and proceed with the investigation in accordance with law and file a final report.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner; learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents and perused the materials placed on record.

3. Admittedly, the 2nd respondent police has registered a case in C.S.R.No.51 of 2018 based on the complaint of the petitioner. Having registered the C.S.R., it is the duty of the investigating officer either to register the case or close the complaint. Without doing so, he cannot keep the complaint https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

pending. Therefore, the 2nd respondent Police is directed to enquire the petition and to take appropriate action in accordance with law.
