(The case has been heard through video conference) The petitioner, who apprehends arrest at the hands of respondent police for an offence under Sec.174(3) Cr.P.C., subsequently altered into 306 of I.P.C. in connection with Crime No.1247 of 2020, seeks anticipatory bail.

2. Today, when the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that earlier, the F.I.R. has been registered under Sec.174 of Crl.P.C., subsequently, it was altered into Section 306 of I.P.C. and now the enquiry is still pending.

3. At this stage, Mr.B.Sundarapandian, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner sought permission of this Court to withdraw the Criminal Original Petition.

4. In view of the above submission made by the learned counsel appearing for the Petitioner, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed as withdrawn.
