ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the learned Metropolitan Magistrate-Fast Track Court No.II, Allikulam to number the case in STC S.R.No. 53002 of 2025 dated 6-11-2025.

2. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner lodged an online complaint under Section 138 of the Negotiable Instruments

Act on 06.11.2025. Thereafter, for the past seven months, there has been no information as to whether the complaint has been taken on file or, if not, for what reason it has been withheld or whether there is any deficiency in the complaint. No message or no notice has been issued to the petitioner, and the complaint has been kept pending. Hence, the present petition has been filed.

3. Considering the above submission and perusal of materials, it is seen that the complaint was uploaded and assigned STC.S.R.No. 53002 of 2025. Thereafter, the case has remained at the S.R. stage for the past seven months and no reason has been given for keeping it pending.

4. In view of the above, this Court directs the learned Metropolitan Magistrate-Fast Track Court No.II, Allikulam to take the complaint on file and assign an STC number, if it is otherwise in order. If there is any objection, the complainant shall be called up to rectify the same. The entire process shall be completed within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
