Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the 1st respondent to accept the application submitted by the petitioner bearing control Id No: control ID 102367 for the Post of Associate Professor in Tamil and permit him to appear for the interview dated 06.05.2013 before the 2nd respondent and appoint him as an associate professor in Tamil. The relief sought for in this writ petition is for a direction to direct the 1st respondent to accept the application submitted by the petitioner bearing control Id No: control ID 102367 for the Post of Associate Professor in Tamil and permit him to appear for the interview dated 06.05.2013 before the 2nd respondent and appoint him as an associate professor in Tamil. 2.The learned counsel appearing on behalf of the respondents brought to the notice of this Court that the process of selection had already been concluded and by virtue of an interim order passed by this Court in the present writ petition, the petitioner was allowed to participate in the process of selection and accordingly, the petitioner participated in the selection. However, the petitioner was not successful in the selection process and therefore, there he was not selected. 3.In view of the fact that the petitioner had already participated in the process of selection and was unsuccessful, no further consideration is required in respect of the relief sought for in this writ petition.

4.Accordingly, the writ petition stands closed. However, there shall be no order as to costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
