ORDER

When the matter is taken up for hearing, learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents submitted that the petitioners are seeking to include their names in the selection process conducted for the post of Overseer/Junior Draughting Officer in pursuant to the notification issued by the 2nd respondent vide Na.Ka.No.17873/2020/K4 dated 06.11.2020. But the said notification issued by the District Collector/2nd respondent herein in November 2020 has since been cancelled as per the directions issued by the 1st respondent vide letter No.66051/2011/EE-2.1 dated 03.12.2020 and fresh notification have been issued by the 2nd respondent vide Na.Ka.No.17873/2020/K4 dated 07.12.2020 in News papers and application has been received from the eligible candidates and the written examination will be conducted in due course of time. A copy of the said notification also produced before this Court. Hence, the matter has become infructuous and nothing survives in this writ petition for further adjudication.

3. In view of the above submission made by the learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents, this writ petition is dismissed as infructuous. No costs. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed.
