The petitioner claiming to be the owner of lands measuring 0.26 cents in S.F.No.441/3A situated at Adayalacheri Village and 0.35 cents in S.F.No.430/3B situated at Gundumanicheri Village, Cheyyur Taluk, Kanchipuram District, vide registered Sale Deed dated 14.07.2000 bearing Document No.846 of 2000, seeks a direction to the respondent to consider his representation dated 12.09.2014 to rectify the mistake of wrongly mentioning the extent of land of the petitioner and grant fresh patta. 2.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that by virtue of the registered Sale Deed dated 14.07.2000, the petitioner has become the absolute owner of the aforesaid lands. The revenue authorities have also issued patta in favour of the petitioner, but by wrongly mentioning the extent as 0.08.00 hectares = 20 cents, instead of 0.10.00 hectares = 26 cents. Therefore, a direction be issued to the Tahsildar to appoint a Land Surveyor to measure the property, after giving notice to all the necessary parties.

3.The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondent submitted that when patta has been issued wrongly showing the petitioner as owner of property only to an extent of 0.08.00 hectares = 20 cents instead of 0.10.00 hectares = 26 cents, after the property is measured by the Land Surveyor, it will be clear as to the extent purchased by the petitioner is 26 cents or less.

4.Recording the submission, the Writ Petition is disposed of with a direction to the respondent to appoint a Land Surveyor and measure the land and do needful, after giving notice to all the parties, including the petitioner. Such exercise shall be completed within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs.
