O R D E R

This writ petition has been filed for the issue of writ of mandamus directing the respondents to take appropriate action against the 4th respondent based on the representations made by the petitioner on 12.07.2021 and 16.08.2021. 2.

The case of the petitioner is that he is the Vice President in Arumandhai Village Panchayat Union. There seems to be some dispute between the petitioner and the 4th respondent, who is the President of the Panchayat Union. Allegations and counter allegations are made by the parties and complaints were also made before the 1st respondent. The 1st respondent therefore, directed the 2nd respondent to conduct an enquiry on the complaints given by both sides and file a report. In turn, the 2nd respondent through communication dated 03.08.2021, directed the 3rd respondent to conduct an enquiry and to file a report. The further case of the petitioner is that the 3rd respondent conducted an enquiry on 05.08.2021 by issuing notice to all the parties concerned. However, the 3rd respondent has not filed any report before the 2nd respondent. The petitioner made several representations in this regard and since the same did not evoke any response, the present writ petition has been filed before this Court seeking for appropriate directions. 3.

Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr. U.Baranidharan, Government Advocate for R1, R3 & R4 & Mr. Gokula Krishnan, Government Advocate for R2.

Taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the case and also of the fact that the 3rd respondent has already called the parties and conducted an inquiry, there shall be a direction to the 3rd respondent to submit the report before the 2nd respondent, within a period of 2 weeks from the date of receipt of the copy of this order. The 2nd respondent on receipt of the same shall submit his report before the 1st respondent within a period of 2 weeks thereafter. The 1st respondent shall act upon the same and proceed further in accordance with law. 5.

This writ petition is disposed of with the above directions. No costs.
