This writ petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, seeking writ of mandamus directing the second respondent herein to consider and pass orders on the petitioner's representation dated 28.02.2026 to regularize the services of the petitioner as Driver with effect from 13.12.1995 as per the Resolution No 2984 / 95 dated 13.12.1995 of the Greater Chennai Corporation and the ratification order issued in G.O. Ms. No 67 Municipal administration and Water Supplies (Ma.Na.3) Department dated 24.04.1998 and in the light of the judgement in W.P. No 6227 / 2022 and 25450 / 2021 dated 19.03.2025 together with all consequential service and monetary benefits. For Petitioner(s):

Order This writ petition is filed for the following relief: "To direct the second respondent herein to consider and pass orders on the petitioner's representation dated 28.02.2026 to regularize the services of the petitioner as Driver with effect from 13.12.1995 as per the Resolution No 2984 / 95 dated 13.12.1995 of the Greater Chennai Corporation and the ratification order issued in G.O. Ms. No 67 Municipal administration and Water Supplies (Ma.Na.3) Department dated 24.04.1998 and in the light of the judgement in W.P. No 6227 / 2022 and 25450 / 2021 dated 19.03.2025 together with all consequential service and monetary benefits."

2. The petitioner would submit that he was appointed as a Driver in the respondent corporation through Employment Exchange in the year 1993. He would submit that the 1st respondent passed a resolution in its General Body as early as in the year 1995 to grant regularisation w.e.f., 13.12.1995. However, the same has not been implemented to date. Therefore, in this regard the petitioner made a representation to the respondents. Since there is no response the petitioner is before this Court.

3. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and the fact that the petitioner's representation dated 28.02.2026 has not been considered to date, a direction is issued to respondents to consider the petitioner's representation and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of 8 weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
