O R D E R
The instant writ petition has been filed with a prayer for issuing a Mandamus, to direct the respondents to pay 10% interest towards belated payment of terminal benefits such as Provident Fund, Gratuity, Leave Salary and commutation of pension amount to the petitioners.

The case of the petitioners are that the petitioners were appointed in the respondent Transport Corporation on various posts and on different dates and after completion of unblemished service, the petitioners have retired from services on various dates. However, the terminal benefits have been settled belatedly and no interest has been paid for the delayed period. In view of the same, the petitioners submitted their respective representations dated 23.04.205, 28.04.2025, 29.04.2025, 06.05.2025, 08.05.2025, 14.05.2025, 15.05.2025, 19.05.2025 and 21.05.2025 to the 1st respondent for payment of interest for the delayed period. Since the same was not considered, the present Writ Petition has been filed.

3. The learned Standing Counsel for the respondents would fairly admits that in view of the similar orders passed by this Court in W.P.Nos. 40031, 33742 and 35806 of 2024, they are willing to pay the interest at the rate of 6% per annum for the belated payment of the eligible and admissible amount.
4. Heard the learned counsel for both sides and perused the materials available on record.

In view of the above submission of the learned Standing Counsel, this Court deems it appropriate to direct the respondents to pay the interest at the rate of 6% per annum for the belated payment of terminal benefits, from the date of retirement till the date of actual disbursal of the terminal benefits of the petitioners along with eligible and admissible amount, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 4/6
6. In the result, this Writ Petition is disposed of with the above observations. No costs.
