The petitioner has filed this writ petition seeking issuance of Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to consider the representation dated 20.05.2023 of the petitioner and disburse the sum of Rs.2,00,000/- (Rupees Two Lakhs Only) matured on 04.03.2024 vide deposit receipt No.077205 bearing account No.6415600073 and a sum of Rs.4,00,000/-(Rupees Four Lakhs Only) matured on 27.06.2022 vide deposit No.0773749 bearing account No.6539945925 both maintained with the second respondent to petitioner account bearing No.6417682771 maintained with second respondent Bank, Avadi branch, Chennai.

2.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner's husband died on 07.04.2023 and during his lifetime he was made two terms deposits with the second respondent and after his demise, the petitioner made representation dated 2/4

20.05.2023 to the second respondent seeking to disburse/ release the amount of Rs.2,00,000/- and Rs.4,00,000/- vide two terms deposits bearing account Nos.6415600073 and 6539945925, however, there is no response. Hence, this Court may without going into the merits of the case, issue direction to the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 20.05.2023 and to pass appropriate orders, within a reasonable time frame.

3.Considering the limited relief now sought for by the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, this Court, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, directs the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 20.05.2023, on merits and in accordance with law and to pass appropriate orders, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 4.The writ petition is disposed of.
