This writ petition has been filed for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to act upon the application submitted by the petitioner on 12.03.2025, wherein the petitioner has sought for providing electricity service connection to the subject property.

2. Heard Mr.K.Sakthivel, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.M.Suresh Kumar, Additional Advocate General assisted by Mr.V.Venkata Seshaiya, Standing Counsel for the respondent.

3. The case of the petitioner is that she has purchased a plot vide registered sale deed dated 11.11.2024 registered as Document No.5214 of 2024 and Patta has also been issued in Patta No.10138. The petitioner applied for a temporary service connection for constructing a building on 24.01.2025. However, since there was no response, the petitioner submitted another application on 12.03.2025 since the respondent had sought for certain clarifications. Even thereafter, there was no progress. It is under these circumstances, the present writ petition has been filed.

4. Taking into consideration the facts and circumstances and the materials placed before this Court and the submissions made by the learned Additional 2/4

Advocate General, the respondent is directed to act upon the application submitted by the petitioner dated 12.03.2025 and provide service connection within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. With the above direction, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed. 30-06-2025 KST Index:Yes/No 3/4
