This Criminal Original Petition has been filed praying to direct the respondent to expedite the investigation in Cr.No.199/2016 on the file of Inspector of Police, Mamallapuram Police Station, Kancheepuram District and submit final report before the competent Court of jurisdiction and take appropriate action against the said accused in accordance with law. 2.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent submitted that based on the complaint lodged by the petitioner, investigation is pending in Crime No.199 of 2016 before the respondent.
