ORDER
The instant writ petition has been filed challenging the impugned suspension dated 07.10.2024 and seeking a direction to the respondents to reinstate the petitioner into service as a Firka Surveyor.
2. The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner has been under suspension for over eight months, and the respondents have not initiated any disciplinary action, nor has a charge memorandum been issued against him. Hence, the petitioner prays for interference with the order of suspension.
3. The learned Government Advocate appearing on behalf of the respondents would strongly object the contention of the petitioner and submitted that based on a corruption complaint, an F.I.R was registered in Crime No.11 of Page No.2 of 5
2024 under Section 7 of the Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988 and that the respondents are in the process of coordinating with the Vigilance and AntiCorruption Wing to obtain concurrence, and within a reasonable time they would proceed with the disciplinary proceedings.
4. From the submission of the learned Government Advocate, this Court finds that serious charges have been framed against the petitioner. Therefore, this Court do not find any public interest to interfere with the order of suspension. However, this Court deems it appropriate to direct the respondents to conclude the disciplinary proceedings within a reasonable time, preferably within a period of six (6) months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

This Court further makes it clear that if any charge memorandum is not issued within further period of two months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, the petitioner may give a representation to respondents for revocation of suspension. Upon receipt of such representation, the respondents are directed to consider the same in accordance with law.

6. With the above directions, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
