ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the Principal District and Sessions Judge/Special Judge for SC/ST Act cases, Tiruvannamalai, to consider the petitioners' bail application sympathetically and pass orders on merits on the same day of their surrender, in connection with Cr.No. 41 of 2026, pending on the file of the respondent police.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioners, and the learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) for the first respondent.

3. The case of the prosecution is that the de facto complainant had borrowed money from A1 and subsequently failed to repay the loan amount. In order to recover the dues, the petitioners/A2 to A9 went in a group and demanded repayment of the loan. At that time, the petitioners are alleged to have abused the de facto complainant by using caste-based prohibitory words and forcibly obtained a pro note from her.

4. The learned counsel for the petitioners submitted that the petitioners have been falsely implicated in the present case.

5. In view of the above factual position, there shall be a direction to the Principal District and Sessions Judge/Special Judge for SC/ST Act cases, Tiruvannamalai to consider the petitioners' bail application, preferably on the same day of their surrender, in connection with Crime No. 41 of 2026 on the file of the respondent Police and to pass appropriate orders in accordance with law, after affording due opportunity to the victims under Section 15-A of the SC/ST (PoA) Act, 1989. The petitioners shall surrender before the jurisdictional Court concerned within a period of fifteen days from the date of the receipt of a copy of this order.
