This criminal original petition has been filed seeking for a direction to the respondent police to expedite the investigation and file final report in Crime No.451 of 2017 pending on the file of the respondent police.

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondent.

3. When the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) submitted that the FIR in this case was registered on 12.12.2017 and that the accused is in abscondence.

4. Taking into consideration, the nature of the allegations in the FIR and the fact that the accused is in abscondence, this https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

Court cannot issue any direction to the respondent police to complete the investigation in a time bound manner. However, this petition is disposed of, with a direction to the respondent police to complete the investigation in Crime No.451 of 2017 as expeditiously as possible and either file a final report or closure report, as the case may be, under due intimation to the de facto complainant.
