ORDER
[Made by P.N.PRAKASH, J.] This habeas corpus petition has been filed seeking to direct the first respondent/police to produce the detenue viz., the petitioner's sister Sugi, aged about 25 years, daughter of (late) Poongavanam, before this Court and to set her at liberty. 2.
It is the case of the petitioner that his younger sister Sugi, aged about 25 years, went missing from 16.09.2021 and that the police are not taking effective steps to secure her. 3.
Today A.Abdul Rasheeth (Mobile No.95662 67744), Special Sub-Inspector of Police 34973, N-2, Kasimedu Police Station, Chennai, is present. The police produced Sugi before us. 4.
When enquired by us, Sugi stated that she has completed XII Standard; she is 25 years old; on account of some misunderstanding with her brother, she left his house and staying with her friend Vijayalakshmi (Mobile No.73974 30065) at Door No.457, Singaravelan Nagar, 3rd Street, Kasimedu, Chennai -
13. She further stated that soon she will go to a ladies hostel. It appears that Sugi is working as a Salesperson in Arihant Textiles at Old Washermanpet.

We do not find Sugi to be in the illegal detention of anyone and she is living in her friend's house on her own volition and hence, no writ of habeas corpus can be issued. Recording the same, this habeas corpus petition stands closed.
