O R D E R

This writ petition has been filed to direct the respondents to consider and dispose of the representation submitted by the petitioner dated 14.03.2023 seeking for family pension to the petitioner, from the date of death of the petitioner's husband.

2.It is the case of the petitioner that her husband, namely Mr.Subramani, was working as Police Constable (PC761) in the Tamil Nadu Police Department and he was given compulsory retirement on 31.03.1972 and thereafter, he died on 25.08.2006. Subsequently, the petitioner gave a representation to the 1st respondent in person to grant her family pension. The petitioner further states that the proposal was forwarded by the 1st respondent to the 2nd respondent for necessary action. However, the 2nd respondent raised a query as to the delay in submitting the representation. The petitioner states that she has submitted her detailed explanation along with relevant documents vide her representation dated 14.03.2023 to the respondents. Thereafter, the petitioner has approached this Court for a direction to the respondents to consider her representation dated 14.03.2023 and pass necessary orders.

3.Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the 1st respondent. 4.Considering the limited nature of the prayer sought for in the present writ petition, without going into the merits of the representation submitted by the petitioner or the contentions raised by the writ petitioner in this writ petition, this Court directs the respondents to consider the representation submitted by the petitioner on 14.03.2023 and pass appropriate orders, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 5.With the above direction, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
