1/5

The instant writ petition has been filed with a prayer for issuing a Mandamus, to direct the respondents to disburse the belated payment of interest amount of Provident Fund, Gratuity, Leave Salary and Commutation amounts and other unsettle benefits of leave salary surrender for the year of 2009-2011 & 2017-2018 and 10 days salary with effect from 01.07.2023 within a stipulated time to the petitioner.

2. The case of the petitioner is that the petitioner has joined in the 1st respondent Corporation on 06.06.1986 and had retired from his service on 30.06.2023. However, the terminal benefits have been settled to him only on 10.03.2025 and no interest has been paid for the delayed period. In view of the same, the petitioner has submitted a representation dated 10.05.2025 to the respondents to pay interest for the delayed period. Since the same was not considered by the respondents, the present writ petition has been filed by the petitioner.

3. At this juncture, the learned Standing Counsel appearing on behalf of the respondents would fairly submit that they would consider the said representation of the petitioner dated 10.05.2025 and would pay eligible 2/5

amount within a reasonable time.

4. Heard the learned counsel on either sides and perused the materials available on record.

5. In view of the said fair submission made by the learned Standing Counsel for the respondents, without going in to the merits of this Writ Petition, this Court deems it appropriate to direct the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 10.05.2025 and pass orders according to its own merits and in accordance with law, within a period of six (6) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
