This petition seeks appointment of a Sole Arbitrator to resolve the disputes between the petitioner and respondent arising out of Contract Agreement No.TBM/SG/CN/337/1/73/3/CGL - TZD/E1/Cont dated 28.12.2011.

vga 2.Both learned counsel agreed that Mr.G.Palaniappan, District Judge (retired) be appointed as Sole Arbitrator to decide upon the disputes inter se.
3.I, thus, appoint Mr.G.Palaniappan, District Judge (retired), No.2-b Owner's Court, Montieth Street, Montieth Road, Egmore, Chennai-600 008, (Mobile 9443335815) as the Sole Arbitrator to enter upon reference and adjudicate the disputes inter se the parties and after issuing notice to the parties and upon hearing them, pass an award as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of six months from the date of receipt of the order. The learned Arbitrator is at liberty to fix his remuneration and other incidental expenses, which shall be borne by both the parties equally. 4.The Original Petition is, accordingly, allowed, leaving the parties to bear their own costs.
