This petition is filed seeking a direction to direct the Principal District Judge, Thiruvallur to dispose of the Arbitration O.P.No.163 of 2010 pending on its file within the period as fixed by this Court.

2. The facts of the case is that the subject land was acquired for the purpose of widening the National Highway and the first respondent who is the competent authority has passed an award on 03.02.2010 which according to the petitioner is erroneous. Hence he has approached the second respondent in Arbitration O.P.No.163 of 2010 for modifying of the award amount and the same is pending. Hence this petition,

The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the first respondent had not adopted proper method for fixing the compensation and awarded a meager compensation, due to which he has filed a petition before the second respondent. He further submitted that the petitioner is a senior citizen and he was made to run from pillar to post for attending the Court proceedings. Hence he prays this Court to issue a direction to the second respondent to dispose of the above O.P as early as possible.

4. On a perusal of records, it is seen that the case is of the year 2/4

2010 and till date there is no progress in the Arbitration petition i.e O.P.No.163 of 2010.

5. In view of the above, the learned Principal District Judge, Thiruvallur is directed to dispose of the Arbitration O.P.No.163 of 2010 within a period of six months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6. With the above directions, this Civil Revision Petition is disposed of. No order as to costs.
