Respondents Prayer : Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for the issuance of a writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents 2 and 3 herein to issue appropriate directions in the form of guidelines or regulations to update the electoral list of the members and voters of the Tamil Nadu Medical Council and to display the updated eligible voter's list on the official website and to permit e-Voting for the elections to the members of the said Council and to ensure that the elections to the Medical Council for the year 2017 is conducted in a democratic and peaceful manner and in accordance with the bye-laws and to appoint a retired Judge or any other competent eminent person to monitor and ensure the smooth and proper conduct of the medical council election to be conducted in the year 2017 or any subsequent period.

The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner has submitted a letter dated 07.08.2017 to the Registry seeking permission of this Court to post the above writ petition for withdrawal. The matter is listed today under the heading for withdrawal. When the matter is taken up today, a similar request is made before this Court and an endorsement has also been made to that effect.
