ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking to quash the First Information Report in Crime No.1498 of 2017 on the file of the Inspector of Police, Korattur Police Station, Chennai. 2.It is alleged in the First Information Report that the petitioner / accused had cheated the 2nd respondent / de-facto complainant and others to the tune of Rs.20,00,000/- promising that she would make arrangement for allotment of flats in the Tamil Nadu Housing Board. Hence the complaint.

3.The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the allegations in the First Information Report are false and the petitioner has been falsely implicated in the above crime.

4.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that the investigation is almost completed and Investigation Officer is likely to file a final report within a short period of time. 2/4

5.Since the points raised by the petitioner are factual in nature and also in view of the fact that the investigation is almost completed, there shall be a direction to the 1st respondent to complete the investigation and to file final report within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6.With the above observations, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed. Consequently, connected Criminal Miscellaneous Petition is closed.
