PRAYER: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the 3rd the respondent to give patta in favour to petitioner and consider the representation dated 15.07.2024. 1/5

O R D E R

By consent of both the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner as well as learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents 1 to 4, this writ petition is disposed of at the admission stage itself.

2. The petitioner herein seeks a direction to 3rd respondent to issue patta in his favour by considering his representation dated 15.07.2024.

It is the case of the petitioner that property covered by Patta No.299 situated in Survey No.356/5 at Sri Aadhivaraganallur Village, Sri Mushnam Taluk, Cuddalore Disrict originally belonged to his father namely Jayaraman and the patta was also issued in the name of petitioner's father. Later, the 2/5

petitioner's father executed a settlement deed in favour of petitioner on 21.02.2022 settling the said property. Based on the settlement deed executed by the petitioner's father, the petitioner submitted a representation to 3rd respondent on 15.07.2024 seeking transfer of patta in his name and the same has not been considered. Hence, he is before this Court by way of this writ petition.

4. The learned Special Government Pleader, who is taking notice for the respondents 1 to 4, submits that representation of the petitioner will be considered on its' own merits within a time fixed by this Court.

In view of the same, without going into the merits of the claim made by the petitioner, this Court is inclined to issue direction to the 3rd respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 15.07.2024 and pass final orders on its' own merits within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order.
