O R D E R

The writ petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondent to consider the petitioner's application, seeking for transfer of the lease.

2. The grievance of the petitioner is that, the petitioner was a lessee in respect of the Shop No.1, Va.Vi.No.3010219, which is located in North West Shops near Old Bus Stand, Periya Maariyamman Kovil Street, Salem. In the above said shop one K.Abdul Salam and the petitioner has been jointly running the shop on the monthly lease basis from 2008. Now, the petitioner wants the lease hold right to be transferred in the name of K.Abdul Salam and he had also made necessary application for the same, that was not considered. Hence, the present writ petition has been filed.

3. Considering the fact that, the petitioner's representation dated 15.05.2017 is pending before the respondent for a long time, the respondent is directed to consider the petitioner's representation and pass suitable orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

4. The writ petition is disposed of with the above directions. No Costs.
