ORDER

The petitioner, who apprehends arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the offences punishable under Sections 8(c), 20(b)(ii)(B) and Section

25 of NDPS Act in Crime No.513 of 2025, on the file of the respondent police, seek anticipatory bail.

2. The case of the prosecution is that based on the confidential information on 24.05.2025, the respondent police caught the co-accused and seized 1 kg of ganja and thereafter searched his house and seized 2 kg of from the co-accused and based on his confession, the petitioner herein has been implicated in this case. Hence, the case.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner is innocent and has been falsely implicated in this case. Learned counsel further submitted that petitioner is ready to abide by any condition for his release. Hence, the learned counsel prays for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

4. The learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) appearing for the respondent police reiterated the prosecution's case and strongly opposed for

grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

5. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) for the respondent Police and perused the materials available on record.

6. Considering the facts and circumstances, the overtact levelled against the petitioner and the stage of investigation and the quantity of contraband involved in this case, this Court is not inclined to grant the relief sought for by the petitioner.

7. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition stands dismissed. 08-07-2025 jai
