This Criminal Original Petition has been filed praying to direct the respondents 1 to 3, to take the petitioner's complaint, dated 8/5/2008, on the file, register the same and take appropriate action against the fourth respondent, as per law.

2. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner continues to remain absent.

3. The learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side), appearing for the respondents 1 to 3 would submit that departmental action was initiated against the fourth respondent, in P.R.No.7 of 2009 (Tirunelveli Range) (PR.No.174/PR.S(1)/2007 u/r.3 (b) of Chennai Police Tamil Nadu Police Service Subordinate (Disciplinary & Appeal) Rules and on conclusion, the fourth respondent was awarded with the punishment of reduction in time scale of pay by two stages for two years with cumulative effect.

4. In the light of the said development, this Criminal Original Petition is closed.
