This petition has been filed to transfer the investigation in Cr.No.172 of 2016 now pending investigation on the file of the 1st respondent, to the file of the 2nd respondent.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor (Puducherry) appearing for the respondents.

3. On the complaint lodged by the petitioner, the respondent police registered a case in Cr.No.172 of 2016 on 09.07.2016 against Dr.Rajendran for offences u/s 9(e) and 10 of the Prevention of Children from Sexual Offences Act.

4. It is the case of the petitioner that the accused had misbehaved with his daughter when she came to the clinic of the accused for treatment. The main allegation in the present petition was that, the police are not taking any steps to secure the accused.

5. Today, when the matter was taken up for hearing, learned Additional Public Prosecutor, Puducherry submitted that the accused has been granted anticipatory bail by this Court in Crl.O.P.No.21704 of 2016 on 11.11.2016 after hearing the petitioner also, who had intervened in the proceedings. Under such circumstances, this Court is of the view that this is not a fit case to transfer the investigation and it would suffice if the jurisdictional Superintendent of Police monitors the investigation in Cr.No.172 of 2016.
