ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition is filed seeking protection from police harassment under the guise of investigating the complaint in Crime No.21 of 2022.

The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondent police states that based on the material evidence collected during the course of investigation, this petitioner has purchased the property from A19. The petitioner being a relative of A19, investigation regarding the purchase of the property after registration of complaint is required. Therefore, earlier he was summoned under Sections 160 & 91 Cr.P.C., on 15.05.2024 to appear before the Investigating Officer on 17.05.2024. The petitioner appeared and given a statement. If any further investigation is required, he will be summoned as per law and enquired and there is no harassment as alleged by the petitioner. 3.

Recording the above statement of the learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side), this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of directing the petitioner to appear before the Investigating Officer only if he received summon for enquiry.
